The Full Symmetry Traverse is a pleasant ridge scramble tackling five unique peaks - Cube Point (9,638’), Sam's Tower (9,800’), Symmetry Spire (10,560'), Ice Point and Storm Point (10,052') via a highly aesthetic ridge in the North-Central Tetons. I onsight soloed the route, including down-climbs, on September 21st, 2026.
First 5.10 Lead Rope Solo – Waterboys (5.10a/b, 3p, 350′) – Icebox Canyon – Red Rocks NCA, NV (09.13.26)
Waterboys is a Red Rocks underground classic at the 5.10 grade, with a heavy emphasis on crack climbing and no lead bolts. This was my hardest multi-pitch lead rope solo.
Alone in “Healy’s Haunted House” (5.8/5.9 X, 5p, 700′) – Angel Food Wall – Red Rocks NCA (08.09.26)
On Sunday August 9th I rope soloed Healy's Haunted House, a Red Rocks cult classic. This under appreciated route ascends a continuous 700 foot chimney system, with off-width, squeeze or true chimney climbing on every pitch.
Dancing in the Sunlight – Dark Shadows (5.8, 10p, 1000′) Lead Rope Solo – Mescalito Dome – Red Rocks, NV (06.28.26)
On Sunday June 28th, 2026, I rope-soloed the ultra-classic Dark Shadows to the summit of Mescalito Dome - my longest lead rope solo to date. I completed the route in 12.5 hours car-to-car, including 23 pitches and 2,300 feet of fifth class climbing.
Jungle Warfare – South Cracks (5.9 PG13, III, 1400′) – Moro Rock – Sequoia Nat. Park, CA (06.15.26)
On Monday, June 15th, the Alpine Peanut and I climbed the South Cracks of Moro Rock, one of the largest frontcountry rock climbs in the absolutely breathtaking Sequoia National Park.
Me, Myself and I – Rope Soloing The Long Climb (5.8, III, 800′) – Tahquitz Rock – Idyllwild, CA (05.17.26)
On Sunday May 17th I rope-soloed The Long Climb on Tahquitz Rock, a historic 800 foot 5.8 established by Royal Robbins and Don Wilson in 1952. It represents by far the longest and most sustained rope-solo of my career.
Diamond in the Velvet – Norepinephrine (5.10b PG13, II, 715′) – Black Velvet Wall – Red Rocks NCA, NV (03.29.26)
Norepinephrine is a five pitch variation to North America's most popular 5.9, Epinephrine. The last four pitches, all 5.10, stalk the brilliantly exposed arete left of the Epinephrine chimneys with a spectacularly diverse allotment of climbing - roof pulls, steep face climbing, slippery mantles and even a few splitter cracks, with just enough bolts to keep the climbing exciting, but rarely dangerous.
We Back – Group Therapy (5.7 R, II, 800′) – Angel Food Wall – Red Rocks NCA, NV (03.25.26)
Group Therapy is a popular 800' 5.7 just north of the super classic Tunnel Vision (5.7+ R, 800') on the Angel Food Wall. While the climbing was nowhere near as memorable as its neighbor, we still thought it a great day.
Five Months in Paradise – Joshua Tree 2025 Recap (Run For Your Life, Falcon & the Snowman, Illusion Dweller, and more)
Joshua Tree National Park is Bobbi and I's favorite place for single pitch trad climbing. In 2025 we spent five months in and around Josh, and climbed some 130 pitches. The three routes which defined our season were Run For Your Life (5.10b R), Falcon and the Snowman (5.10c R) and Illusion Dweller (5.10b).
Fly High – Solar Slab (5.6, 14 pitches, 2000′) – Oak Creek – Red Rocks NCA, NV (12.18.25)
On December 18, 2025, Bobbi Clemmer and I channeled our inner Teton spirit, raging up the 2000 foot mega-classic Solar Slab as our final climb of 2025. We climbed the full route and scenic "walk-off" to Oak Creek in a civilized nine hours car to car. We also climbed a few harder variations to the standard route.
