Slideshow this Thursday at 6:00PM in Driggs, ID

Hello Friends! This Thursday (March 6th, 2025) I will be giving a slideshow presentation on modern ski mountaineering in the Teton Range. The show will be held at the Driggs Senior Center at 6:00PM. If you don’t know where the Senior Centor is, it’s located directly behind the Teton Rock Gym, on the west side of the building. A suggested donation of $5 covers snacks and the small cost of the hall, but the show itself is not for profit.

Topics covered will include my personal journey to ski mountaineering, using skiing as a tool for self betterment, and the creative avenues of modern ski mountaineering I’ve been exploring the past few seasons. The show will feature photography and stories from two climb-to-ski linkups I did with Chase Krumholz and Hayden Evans last year on Disappointment Peak and Nez Perce, a second descent of the North Face of Mount Wister, and the first solo ski linkup of the Bubble Fun, Newc and Northwest Couloirs on the North Face of Buck Mountain – the “Buck Triple”.

I can genuinely say I am terrified of public speaking, and did not pitch this event to anyone. I got approached, and reluctantly said yes, on the grounds of hopefully spreading a morsel of positive energy and stoke. Much like skiing, putting oneself “out there” in life seems like an opportunity for growth. I’ll probably be more gripped than any jump turn I’ve ever made!
